AFC Uckfield Town saw their Fa Cup match against Ashford Town fail to beat the elements thanks to a waterlogged pitch, with their rematch set to take place on Tuesday. In the local friendly’s, Lewes Men’s fell to a 3-1 defeat to Ramsgate, with the team now gearing up for next weeks league season opener against Cray Wanderers.

Lewes Women’s beat AFC Wimbledon in a convincing manner, with a Valentine Pursey hat trick leading the side to a 5-0 win, as Jarvis Brook earned a 2-2 draw against Westfield, while Ridgewood were on the losing end of an entertaining 4-3 defeat to Punnetts Town.

Over to the cricket now, as Sussex fell to a second successive defeat in the One Day Cup, losing against Northamptonshire by three wickets, as the side will look for their first win in the competition next time out on Wednesday, where they visit Derbyshire. 

And despite a wet weekend calling off almost all local cricket fixtures, one team was able to beat the elements, with Isfield rewarded with a closely fought victory against Hastings & St Leonards Priory, winning by 21 runs, as they move into fourth in the Division 4 East.
