MORE than 700 people have already signed up to the Rotary Club of Eastbourne AM's Lighthouse Challenge fundraising walk on Sunday (May 25).

Hailsham Town Council has provided funding of £497 to Hailsham Active CIC, one of a number of recent grants given to local community groups and voluntary associations as part of the Council’s 2025/26 Community Grants Scheme.

Hailsham town centre was jam-packed with runners and spectators on Sunday [18 May], as over 1,000 people laced up their running shoes and took to the streets for the third Hailsham Community Run, an event which welcomed people participating in 10k, 5k, 3k and all-inclusive 1-mile runs.
