In cricket, and it is the final round of fixtures for the local cricket season this weekend, with Crowborough away to an out of form Eastbourne 3rd’s needing a win to secure their survival, as Uckfield Anderida visit the Bexhill Strikers, as Buxted Park play at home against already relegated Roffey 2nd’s, with a win also confirming their safety.

 

Elsewhere, Heathfield Park are away against a St Peters side who are looking to clinch the title, as Newick play at home against Buxted Park 2nd’s, while Isfield are travelling to face their league winners in Herstmonceux, having clinched their own promotion last weekend.

 

 Meanwhile, Barcombe will welcome the Preston Nomad 3rd’s, while Plumpton & East Chiltington visit second from bottom St Andrews, as Fletching play at home against their league winners Tunbridge Wells 3rd’s.

 

Lastly in cricket, Rotherfield are away against third in the league Alfriston, with Blackboys visiting Laughton, as Nutley travel to face top of the league Pevensey, while Hadlow Down play at home against Brighton Malayalee Association 2nd’s.

 

Over to football, and it is the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy, with Crowborough Athletic away to Hassocks, while AFC Uckfield Town travel to face second in the league Goldaming Town, with table topping Jarvis Brook away against AFC Walcountians, as Rotherfield play at home to Balcombe.

 

Sticking with football, and it's the season opener for many of our teams in the Mid Sussex Leagues, with Ridgewood away to Eastbourne Athletic, while Barcombe visit the Cuckfield Rangers 2nd's, as Buxted look to host Seaford Town 2nd's.

 

Lastly for football, Nutley will travel to face Portslade Athletic, as Maresfield Village visit Welcroft Park Rangers 2nd's, while Hartfield play away against AFC Varndeanians 3rd’s.  

 

Finally in the bowls, Saturday’s fixtures will see Crowborough welcome Cross in Hand in the Horam League, while Uckfield look to visit Woodingdean, while on Sunday Crowborough will play at home against Groomsbridge, once again in the Horam League.
