Take a look at the sporting fixtures for the coming weekend
A massive game is on the cards for Crowborough Athletic this Sunday with promotion to the Isthmian League at stake, as they face Eastbourne United at home in the playoff final, with Crowborough finishing second in the division as their opponents ended the season in third, while in their most recent matchup saw The Crows beat their opponents 3-1 to lift the RUR Cup in April.
The home side made it into the play-off final after beating Petersfield Town 2-0 on Tuesday, while Eastbourne Athletic struck a 92nd minute winner to beat Haywards Heath 2-1 in the other semi-finals. One name to look out for will be Crowborough’s own Harry Forster, who is currently joint top in the league’s Golden Boot race with 26 so far.
Just the one game in the Mid Sussex Leagues, as Buxted continue to catch up on their fixtures as they travel away to face Cuckfield Rangers Development, knowing that a win will see them leapfrog the Preston Manor Royals into second place.
Now in the bowls, where Saturday’s fixtures will see Crowborough travel away to Cross in Hand in the Horam League, while on Sunday Crowborough face Brenchley at home.
