The new cricket season is rapidly approaching!
Uckfield Anderida Cricket Club (UACC) has announced that it will be running its junior cricket programme again this summer.
Like last year, sessions will take place at the Victoria Pleasure ground on Sunday mornings between 10.00am - 11.15am starting on 15th May 2022 and finishing on 24th July 2022.
UACC will be running the training sessions on a pay and play basis. Prices remain the same at £4 per session or £7 for two children from the same family.
The coaching programme is a great opportunity for young cricketers to enjoy managed sessions that focus on the three key skills - batting, bowling and fielding. Boys and girls are welcome, and tournaments and games are planned for 9 to12 year-olds.
As always, the club require parental supervision (or nominated person) for the children during the sessions. To help with this, they will be offering tea and coffee, as well as some light refreshments to purchase while parents stay and watch. The club will welcome some assistance to run this from the kitchen area in the pavilion if there are any interested volunteers.
With thanks to Paul Iswariah, Uckfield company RyanVentura has provided sponsorship to allow the club to subsidise their new junior club T-shirts. These shirts will be available to purchase for £5 at the first session and feature the club badge, as well as the sponsor logos.
UACC are still seeking a second sponsor to support the junior section to include the sponsor’s logo on the shirts. If anyone can support them, or knows someone that could, please contact the club for more information.
