Works are due to start on Monday 22 August 2022 under Planning Reference: WD/2012/0806/FA
In a statement issued earlier today: Persimmon Homes and Charles Church are working together with Uckfield Town Council to commence a new western footpath along the northern section of Harlands Playing Fields under their Section 106 off-site improvement works.
With the newly installed bus stop improvement works on Bird in Eye Hill and the new footpath connecting Uckfield Hospital with their Harlands Park site, this second footpath will connect the development with the existing network of footpaths.
The footpath will link up with the playing fields and Harlands Community Primary School & Nursey, which are all currently accessed via Mallard Drive and Selby Close footpaths.
This will provide the community with a new dedicated tarmacked footpath for “all” to use and ensure access between the new development, the hospital, allotments, primary school and local open spaces and ancient woodland.
