Stuart Chappell walked 100 miles to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust
He undertook the challenge to walk from Winchester to Eastbourne, to raise funds for a charity that is very close to his heart.
At the end of the first day, Stuart walked just over 37 miles! He said, "It was an incredible day, very tough but I loved every minute of it".
Stuart started Day 2 before the sun had broke and set off from Cocking Hill Car Park. By the time the sun set, he had reached Ditchling Beacon. He recalls that it was an amazing day, but really tough - mentally and physically.
He had to dig deep at times and remind himself of why I'm doing this.
On the final day, Stuart set off from Ditching Beacon and had just over 19 miles to complete, across the South Downs to reach Eastbourne.
Stuart completed his 100 mile walk in 3 days and was greeted by friends and family as he crossed the finish line in Meads.
The final total raised for Teenage Cancer Trust - South East Appeal from the 100 mile walk on the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne is an incredible £6077.
Stuart said, "The generosity of everyone who was kind enough to sponsor me is absolutely amazing, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much"
"It is your generosity that has made the walk so successful. This was absolutely the toughest challenge I have ever done and I'm so happy and proud that I did it"
"When I heard at the start of the year that a friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer, I promised them that I would do all I could to raise as much as possible this year, and thanks to all of you, we have raised so much more than even in my wildest dreams I could have imagined. Thank you so much everybody"
