In the weekend’s local football, both AFC Uckfield Town and Crowborough Athletic face teams struggling at the wrong end of the table.

Uckfield go to third-bottom Loxwood, while Crowborough are at home to second-bottom Alfold.

In the Mid Sussex League, Ridgewood visit Ditchling. Barcombe host Nutley, and there are away fixtures for Fletching, Newick and Hartfield.

In cup competitions, Jarvis Brook entertain Rustington. Rotherfield are away to Bosham, while Plumpton host Royal Earlswood Reserves.

Play-off chasing Lewes travel to second-placed Aveley. And there should be an entertaining clash at the Amex Stadium tomorrow afternoon, as Brighton and Hove Albion take on Fulham.

There are no games this weekend for either Lewes Ladies or Brighton Ladies.

In local rugby, Uckfield make the short trip to Burgess Hill tomorrow, while Crowborough will be looking for back-to-back wins, as they visit Thanet Wanderers. And Newick are at home to Crowborough’s second team.
