My Skate World in Eastbourne is officially reopening on Friday, 4 September 2026, following a two-week closure caused by severe flood damage.
To celebrate its return, the venue is hosting a completely free "welcome back" skating session on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Reopening Details & Venue Status
The popular skating rink, located on Maple Road, was forced to shut its doors after suffering a "catastrophic ingress of water" on Thursday, 20 August 2026. The flooding soaked ground-floor carpets, damaged furniture, and impacted the building's electrics. Following extensive sanitisation, drying, and repairs alongside electricians and professional cleaners, the rink is safe to welcome skaters back.
- Regular Sessions: Normal timetables and paid sessions will fully resume on Saturday, 5 September 2026. Tickets can be purchased at the door or via the official My Skate World Website.
- Soft Play Area: The building's soft play section remains temporarily closed as it requires further repair work before it can safely reopen
