Josie Barnes, local runner and run club founder from Eastbourne has been named as and ASICS Front Runner
She is set to do her first race this weekend (12th April), the Paris Marathon. It is her first race abroad she is super excited to experience running in a different country.
Josie says " I'm so grateful to be given this opportunity to run for a brand who acknowledges the importance of running for a sound mins in a sound body". Josie has been battling the winter viruses which has impeded her training however consistency and showing up each week will be what matters on the day. The Front runner wants to "prove to myself and others that you don't have to be 'elite' at something to achieve great things!"
Josie runs the Instagram account @runwithjosie_ to document her previous marathon training however ever since her following has grown. She now hosts a run club every Saturday morning in Eastbourne from Twin Coffee at the Saffrons in Eastbourne. She welcomes all running abilities and once a month she partners with Run Your Mind to help start conversations around mental health. You can follow Josie's journey over on Instagram
