Man charged with series of assaults in Eastbourne

A man will appear in court charged with seven counts of assault by beating, two counts of common assault and a public order offence on members of the public in Eastbourne.

This follows an investigation of several reports from February to June this year that the victims had been approached by a man in the town who had then gone on to assault them by punching or kicking them before making off.   

Adam Ahmed, 20, of Burton Road, Eastbourne, was arrested in June and later charged with the offences. He will appear before Hastings Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 2 September.
