Twelve-year-old James Miller from Rye, East Sussex, stunned the judges on Britain's Got Talent with a powerful performance of "Defying Gravity" from the musical Wicked during the audition aired on 21 March 2026.
The home-schooled singer received a standing ovation from both the audience and the judging panel, which featured Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, KSI, and special guest judge Stacey Solomon

James has been singing since the age of two or three and is a member of the Mad Fish Performing Arts theatre group in Bexhill. He was inspired to audition for the show after watching previous winner Sydnie Christmas, and he hopes this performance will be the first step toward a career in music.
