Loads going on locally
In football, Crowborough Athletic will be hoping to build on last weekend's commanding victory as they host bottom of the league Little Common, while AFC Uckfield Town face Forest Row at home in the Division 1 Challenge Cup, as Jarvis Brook visit Bosham in the Division 2 Challenge Cup.
Over to the Mid Sussex Leagues, Ridgewood look for their first win in the league at home against Tunbridge Wells 2nd’s, as do Rotherfield, who welcome Godstone.
Two teams are in the Somerville Cup, with Barcombe hosting Ringmer AFC 3rd’s, and Buxted, who travel to face Peacehaven & Telscombe 2nd’s, while Nutley play at home to Polegate Town 2nd’s in the league.
Lastly in the men’s, Plumpton Athletic face Portslade Athletic at home in the Malins Cup, while in the league Maresfield Village visit Keymer & Hassocks, and Newick travel to face Welcroft Park Rangers 2nd’s, as Hartfield play away to Marle Place Wanderers in the Brian Hall Trophy.
While in women’s football on Sunday, Lewes look for their first win in the league away to Oxford United, as AFC Uckfield Town face Infinity at home.
Over to men’s rugby, and a big local clash with current league leaders Heathfield & Waldron away to Crowborough, while two other teams play their opening fixtures with Uckfield away to Ditchling, as Newick travel to play Midhurst.
Finally in women’s rugby, Sunday’s game will see Heathfield & Waldron look to make it two wins from two at home against Horsham.
