Witness appeal after child hit by car in Eastbourne

Police are appealing for witnesses after a child was seriously injured in a collision in Eastbourne.

Emergency services were called to a report of a collision between a car and a child in Hazelwood Avenue, Eastbourne, at around 3.50pm on Wednesday (27 March).

A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. His next of kin have been informed.

Enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances of the situation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any relevant dashcam or CCTV footage is asked to contact collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting Operation Glenmore.
