Detectives investigating the deaths of two people in St Leonards have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to as a witness.
Officers believe the man may have information that could assist their enquiries and are urging him, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward.
He is being sought solely as a witness and is not suspected of any involvement in the incident.
Police were called to an address in Seven Acre Close, shortly after 4.30am on Tuesday, 30 June, following reports that a man and a woman had been injured.
Sadly, the bodies of 66-year-old Adrian Horton and 46-year-old Uschi Schild were found inside the property.
Sean Gray, 58, of no fixed address, was promptly arrested at a property in Battle Road and has since been charged with murder.
As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives are keen to identify and speak with the man shown in the CCTV images, as they believe he may have information which could assist their enquiries.
Detective Superintendent Jay Mendis-Gunasekera said: “Our investigation continues at pace, and we are keen to speak with this man as we believe he may have information that could assist our enquiries.
“I want to stress that he is being sought as a witness and we are not looking for further suspects.
“If you recognise him, or if you are the person shown in the CCTV image, please contact police as soon as possible”.
Anyone with information is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting Operation Newington.
