Police are appealing for witnesses after a man reported being assaulted by two men in Crowborough.
A report was received on Thursday (9 April) of a man having been attacked by two men in a wooded area near Palesgate Lane at around 1am that morning.
The pair assaulted him, causing facial injuries requiring hospital treatment, before running into the trees nearby.
Both suspects are described as white males, around 6’ in height and of average build. One was wearing all black, while the other wore a white top with jeans and New Balance trainers, with blond hair.
An investigation is ongoing, including house to house enquiries in the area.
Residents in the areas of Poundfield Road, Crowborough Hill in the vicinity of Sir Henry Fermor School and Green Lane in the direction of Palesgate Lane and the Rugby Club on Green Lane are urged to check their personal CCTV or doorbells between the hours of 1am and 2.30am.
Anyone who has information that could help is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 397 of 09/04.
