The appeal was to raise £10,000 towards repair costs following recent damage to the windmill.
A stock (a substantial piece of oak that holds the sweeps to the mill), was damaged earlier in the year. Repair costs were estimated to be up to £15,000.
A crowdfunding appeal was launched to raise £10,000 towards the repairs.
Uckfield & District Preservation Society who manage the windmill have announced that £10,500 was raised, which will increase once gift-aid is included.
The plan is for the new stocks to be fitted in June, which will see the windmill return to its previous condition.
Nutley Windmill hold open days on the last Sunday of every month, admission is free but donations are welcome. A free exhibition '200 years of Nutley Windmill' is also being held at Bridge Cottage in Uckfield from 20 to 27 May.
