There were mixed fortunes again on Saturday (28 December) as the festive fixtures continued.
In the Southern Combination League Premier Division, Crowborough Athletic continued their good form with a 2-1 win at Little Common, they are back in action on Saturday 4 January with the visit of mid table Wick and Crowborough get 2025 underway in a good position to secure a play-off place.
Over at Jarvis Brook in Division Two, there was also 2-1 win against Hailsham, with the home side ending the year in 2nd place. Capel are the visitors to Limekiln next weekend.
Fortunes were not so good over at Uckfield, with AFC Uckfield Town well beaten at The Oaks in their Division One match with Goldalming Town. The visitors returning to Surrey with a 5-1 victory. Uckfield end the year 8th in the league, with Copthorne the next visitors to the Oaks on Saturday.
Another side finishing 8th in their respective league is Lewes, who were beaten away at Hashtag United in the Isthmian Premier Division, Lewes led until the 85th minute, conceding two late goals. A Sussex derby looms for the Rooks, with Whitehawk visiting the Dripping Pan next.
