A new online booking system to support housing tenants in Wealden has been developed to help deliver five-star customer service.
Wealden District Council developed the new system to give a better service to residents needing to contact housing officers.
Officers are often out on-site visiting tenants and communities and although they aim to respond as soon as possible to residents, the council are aware that their response may not always be at a convenient time.
The new booking system features an online map of housing officers responsible for certain areas and allows residents to book a 10-minute video call with a housing officer at a convenient time for the resident.
Councillor Ray Cade, Wealden’s portfolio holder for Housing, said, “This is an exciting step forward in our commitment to offer first class customer service.
“Our residents are important to us and by developing this system we hope it lowers frustration for residents and gives a personal and engaging experience. This will give peace of mind that their query will be answered by the appropriate person.
“I would encourage anyone to try the service when they next need to speak to a housing officer.”

It was an exciting day for six St Wilfrid's Hospice staff and volunteers who represented the hospice at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party earlier this month. The occasion celebrated the dedication and contribution of those who serve their communities through volunteering, supporting charitable causes and working for emergency services.
