Uckfield Town Councillors and Re-election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor

At the Annual Statutory meeting of the Town Council on Monday 15 May 2023, Councillors Jackie Love and Donna French were re-elected as Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively.

This was also the first meeting following the local elections which saw two new councillors join the Town Council – Peter Selby for Uckfield Ridgewood Ward and Michael McClafferty for Uckfield East Ward. A further three councillors were co-opted at the meeting, as follows:-

• Val Frost – Uckfield West Ward
• Peter Ullmann – Uckfield New Town Ward
• Bernadette Reed – Uckfield Ridgewood Ward

Uckfield’s Town Clerk said: “We are pleased to welcome the new and co-opted councillors to the Town Council and look forward to working with them. We are also delighted with the re-election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for a third consecutive year. They have both worked so hard for  the local community.”
