Well-known local newsreader, Sharon Plummer has died at the age of 39
Tributes have been flooding social media platforms today after the sad news that former local radio newsreader, Sharon Plummer has died at the age of 39.
Sharon Plummer (nee Williams) was given the devastating diagnosis in September of Stage 4 cancer, just 9 months after giving birth to her daughter Jemima.
Sharon (Shazza!) was well-known in local radio here in Sussex, having covered all manner of news stories as a journalist and presenter for Sovereign Radio in Eastbourne, Arrow FM in Hastings and Splash FM in Worthing (all now More Radio). More recently, she’s recorded news, voiceovers and audio books for numerous clients across the country from her home studio in Lincolnshire.
Her former colleagues and friends, Joanna Flay and Laura Raymond have set up a fundraisng appeal on Go Fund Me to help raise money for Sharon's family, which currently stands at £4197.
